Blog Tour: Review: Good Girl Bad Girl by Ann Girdharry

Welcome to my stop on the Good Girl Bad Girl Blog Tour, written by Ann Girdharry and published by Create Space and Kindle Direct. I’m very pleased to be taking part on the and hope you enjoy my review.

Mother missing, the discovery of a powerful and corrupt syndicate and dark secrets about her father revealed leaves 28-year old Kal determined to pursue her own investigations, no matter what sinister truths she uncovers, in this intense psychological thriller.

Kal is convinced her investigative journalist mother must have been working on a controversial, and top level, news story, it is the only explanation for her sudden and suspicious disappearance. Although mistrustful of the police, Kal allows Detective Inspector Spinks, the officer assigned to her mother’s case, to accompany her when she visits her grandmother to break the news. What they don’t expect is to uncover a file of shocking research cataloguing the deviant activities of seven members of London’s political and business elite. Back on the streets of London, the survival instincts and specialist expertise she learned from her late father, kick into overdrive, as Kal resolves to not only find her mother but continue her work and unveil the conspiracy hidden amongst those in power.

Good Girl Bad Girl - Tour Banner

When Kal’s Mother goes missing she doesn’t trust the police to find her and employs the investigative skills she was taught as a child by her father to uncover what happened to her Mother.

Kal is a strong character who puts little trust in anybody. She follows clues her Mother has left to the highest levels and travelling between London and India, in the process putting herself in mortal danger.

Even with skills martial arts and highly skilled in reading body language she is up against some of the most powerful and highly trained people she possibly could be.

This isn’t my usual genre so I wasn’t 100% sure how I was going to get along with it. I found Kal a strong woman and I really liked her. I felt like she was the kind of person who would do what it took to achieve her goal and I have a lot of respect for characters like this.

I found the book quite heavy though and at times a little hard to read, this may be just because I was out of my depth with the genre though.

Overall, I found the plot twists really interesting and of great surprise and found the ending tied things up nicely and in an unexpected fashion.

Thank you very much to Ann Girdharry for a copy of the novel to review this book honestly for the blog tour.
