Hey Guys, I made a new friend recently and as we’ve talked we have a lot in common when it comes to books. She’s only written reviews for Goodreads, but when I read one she posted recently her enthusiasm for the book, her passion for the story shone through and I asked if she would like to review some books for the blog. I always think getting different POV’s even on books I may have reviewed ads a different element to the blog. Luckily, the very lovely Siobhan said yes!
We are kicking off her reviews with Groupie by C.M. Stunich, you can catch my review here if you want to see what I thought, and Siobhan’s review is below.
“Can one of these five rockstars fill the hole in my heart? Or will I stay broken forever?”
Young, dumb, and broke.
That’s what started everything. With five dollars in her pocket, and everything she owns stuffed in the back of her car, Lilith Goode’s life is over. Done. Destroyed.
Ten words. One text. That’s what it took to change the whole world.
A crumpled concert ticket. A chance encounter. That’s what it takes to start all over again.
Five rockstars. One girl. Six dark hearts, six withered souls.
But can one broken person really put another back together again?
So C.M is a new author to me, I’d never heard of her before a friend recommended her to me, but now I’m buying all her books. Groupie is an emotionally intense, hot book, the Male leads are all broken, hiding secrets and running from dark pasts, which gives them all completely different personalities but they all have two things in common, the female lead and their band. The female lead Lil, made me cry and had me laughing so hard sometimes. She’s a shattered soul who’s trying to stay strong in a world where she doesn’t know if she belongs.
Can 6 damaged broken souls find happiness or love, or will they succumb to their broken pasts?
If you’re looking for an emotionally charged sexy as hell read with 5 hot as sin men and a strong-willed vixen then this is for you, I’m highly recommending this book.
I love too read all and anything,
I am an author PA on Facebook,
I love all things Marvel and DC comics,
I love vampires and werewolves,
I’m a huge football fan, and I’m in love with Jon Snow,😘
But most of all I love my two children and partner more than life its self

You will notice I’ve dropped my normal purple in favour of orange for this one. Firstly orange is my favourite colour, secondly, this cover is just too good to not have coordinated the whole post to match! Huge thanks to Sybil Bartel and Xpresso Tours for having me be part of this Cover Reveal.
I am so excited about this cover. Sybil Bartel’s covers always bowl me over and are among some of my favourite all-time, and Callan definitely is a cover you want to be staring at!
I’m so pleased to introduce this cover which features model, Jordan Wheeler, looking very Callan like (if you’ve been following the series you’ll know we’ve briefly met Callan already *wink wink*. The image cones from the talented FuriousFotog.
If you need catching up on the Uncompromising series here are links to my reviews so far:
So are you ready to get a taste of Callan? I certainly am…
I was trained to be a hunter. Growing up in the nation’s most infamous, violent cult, my job was simple. Track. Kill. Survive.
And that’s what I did… until our leader threatened to kill his own daughter.
Refusing to watch another senseless murder, I did what I was trained to do. I took his life. Then I claimed his land, and set every member free, including her. I only had one goal left. Find the sister I was told was dead.
But being a hunter in the woods is a far cry from tracking a woman in Miami Beach.
I didn’t find my sister.
I found my stepsister.
*CALLAN is the fifth standalone book in the Uncompromising Series. You do not have to read the books in this series in order, but if you prefer to read them in the order written, The Uncompromising Series is listed below.*
The Uncompromising Series:
About Sybil Bartel
Sybil Bartel grew up in Northern California with her head in a book and her feet in the sand. She dreamt of becoming a painter but the heady scent of libraries with their shelves full of books drew her into the world of storytelling. She loves the New Adult genre, but any story about a love so desperately wrong and impossibly beautiful makes her swoon.
Sybil now resides in Southern Florida and while she doesn’t get to read as much as she likes, she still buries her toes in the sand. If she isn’t writing or fighting to contain the banana plantation in her backyard, you can find her spending time with her handsomely tattooed husband, her brilliantly practical son and a mischievous miniature boxer…
Here are ten things you probably really want to know about Sybil.
She grew up a faculty brat. She can swear like a sailor. She loves men in uniform. She hates being told what to do. She can do your taxes (but don’t ask). The Bird Market in Hong Kong freaks her out. Her favorite word is desperate…or dirty, or both—she can’t decide. She has a thing for muscle cars. But never rely on her for driving directions, ever. And she has a new book boyfriend every week—don’t tell her husband.
To find out more about Sybil Bartel, be sure to follow her on Twitter (she loves to hear about your favorite book boyfriend!), visit her website, like her on Facebook or join her Facebook group Book Boyfriend Heroes for exclusive excerpts and giveaways.
Welcome to the blog tour for Dark Wish by Yumoyori Wilson. I was so excited to take part on this tour, this book has been on my TBR for a while and it gave me an excuse to read and review it a bit sooner. Unfortunately my latest Bipolar flair up has really set back my reading and I just haven’t been able to get to it. I have to send massive apologies to Yumoyori as I was really wanting to get my teeth into this book. I will definitely be reviewing it as soon as the old mojo is back in play as normal.
For now, I have an excerpt from the novel which I guarantee will whet your appetite, there is a giveaway and if you want to follow the tour you can at Xpresso Book Tours. This is the first book in a new reverse harem series, you know how I love my reverse harem so I have no doubt it’s brilliant!
What do you get when you add free and dumb? FREEDOM
My name is Makoto Heart and I’ve always wished for a chance at freedom. Every day, I prayed before the Starlight gods, asking for their divine assistance in accomplishing such a difficult task.
Being an experiment for as long as I can remember, my hopes of obtaining freedom have diminished, drastically. The disappointment haunted me, as myself and my spirits struggled to survive. I had no hope left, believing my final plea fell upon deaf ears, yet again.
But what happens when my prayers are finally answered? I’m thrust into fulfilling a destiny, with the help of six star knights. Suddenly, I am no longer experiment 555, but the stolen princess of Heila.
Freedom, how you have teased my troubled soul. May the Starlight gods guide me and my knights, on this path towards the unknown.
~In Stars We Trust~
Dark Wish is an extraordinary new paranormal reverse harem series. Recommended for 18+ audience, containing mature sexual content and strong language.
Why is it so cold or is his tingle inducing voice doing that?
“If you were wearing clothes, maybe you would feel, you know, less chilly?” Rose suggested, sounding uninterested in my current dilemma.
I panicked, glancing down to see myself wearing only a pink laced bra and matching panties. Karen had given me a spare set of clothes to change into that were more feminine, reassuring me I’d have more selection and school uniform by tomorrow.
I swear to starlight, I put something on before I slept…
“If you’re referring to the sheet that you grabbed off the side of the bed, wrapping yourself up like a caterpillar cocooning itself for hibernation, and face planting into the bed, then yes. You essentially put something on.” Lexi mused, enjoyment oozing off her usual mellow voice.
I groaned, putting my head into my hands. If I could die from embarrassment, this would be the moment. First night sleeping in a house filled with boys and I’d miraculously broke into one of the rooms, snuck myself into an occupied bed, and now was on full display like an underwear model.
Talk about first impressions.

She walked in. My world collapsed.
It wasn’t supposed to happen like this. I never thought I’d see her again.
Rae never should have been there that night . . .
but 5 years of regret, loss, and vengeance have waged war inside me.
And the sins of our fathers won’t stop me from claiming what’s mine: Rae Stenson.
She’s my addiction. I need her. Even if I have to lie, cheat, steal, or kill.
But it may not be the past that we have to confront as the real sins of our fathers wreak havoc in Providence, CA where reality and fantasy collide.
Ravage Riders MC #1, first in a series of Sci-Fi Alien Time Travel Romances with a twist. NO cheating, NO cliffhangers, and a Guaranteed happy ending! Is there anything sexier than gun toting alpha male bikers . . . who aren’t quite human?
Love always deserves a second chance…even if it’s a little out of this world.
Thanks to Nikki Landis for letting me share the Playlist for this book…it’s such a good mix of music I couldn’t help but share it! I highly recommend taking an hour to listen because it is absolutely fantastic!
I LOVE MC romances with a passion, I love the whole tattooed, bearded bikers thing, just hits all the spots for me. Plus the music you link up with this kind of scenario is inevitably right up my street. I also love Nikki Landis books period. She writes in a way that pulls me in and holds me captive until the book is over and I just couldn’t wait to read and devour this one which just sounded like it had everything I wanted.
Now the funny thing is I hadn’t read the full description of this book. I knew the rough outline and had read several excerpts but not the full description as it appears above. So it turned out I was in for a few unexpected surprises which blew my bloody mind out of my head! Proving that sometimes going into a book completely dark is the best thing you can do.
Rae and Pete aka Edge have felt destined to be with each other since they were kids, their Dad’s were best friends and they’ve always been there for each other. Pete feels an incredible need to protect Rae from anything and anyone who might do her harm and Rae is a strong woman who doesn’t feel the need to be protected from anything.
The first two-thirds of this book is about these two as youngsters, falling in love, the danger that comes for them and how they eventually lose each other. The final part of the book is the second chance romance, beautifully written with some epic twists, right out of left field, and a chance for these two to correct old mistakes and find some semblance of happiness within the confines of a decades-old MC war.
I went through so many tissues reading this book…like so many. This really hit me hard, it’s so emotional, the characters get under your skin from the word go, I pulled that first tissue from the box during the first chapter. This is not a cheerful happy romance. It’s dark and gritty. The characters go through hell and are treated to a barrage of abuse from various sources. But through it all, they have one thing more important than anything else…Love.
I have to give a special mention to Pete’s best friend R.J. the strong, silent guy who would do anything for anybody, especially the two people he loves more than anybody else in the world Rae and Pete. This is a man I could fall for and I think I did a little during the course of this book. He plays a huge part in our love-birds story and I had to mention him as I have so much love in my heart for him now.
I can’t recommend this book highly enough, I think it could well be in my top ten of the year (I know it’s only February but it’s blown me away).
Thanks to Nikki Landis for gifting me this book so that I could read it and provide my honest review.

Alex Lancaster is an adrenaline junkie. He’s also a sexy British billionaire who should come with his own warning signs. When Libby insists she is done with men who live on the edge, Alex coaxes her out of her comfort zone—professionally and very, very personally. Libby’s taking a high-stakes gamble, but the pay-off could win her everything…
This is it. The moment where we enter into a new world of Mills & Boon. With a new look, new feel and a new line of books called Dare they have launched themselves into 2018 with vigour and passion and A Week to be Wild is the first book in the Dare series and if the others are anything like it then it’s going to be a humdinger of a series.
Libby is visiting England for a conference, she’s a marketing professional and she’s here to build her business. She does not bargain for adrenaline junky billionaire Alex Lancaster who also just happens to be hotter than hot (of course). When things between them heat up she turns it into a game, determined to keep solid boundaries between them.
OK…so…damn this book was steaming, like seriously, my paperback copy almost caught fire it was so hot. There is so much sexual tension between these two, even when they give in it’s still there afterwards. They are on fire. Halloway has managed to create a believable storyline with so much tension, passion, love and still a very good reason for pulling away and creating a will they/won’t they moment.
I’ll be honest I sometimes find the rich billionaire thing a little tiresome but I just loved Alex, he wasn’t stuck up or entitled and he felt real. I loved that he was an adrenaline junkie. He enjoyed doing things that anybody would enjoy, he just wanted to get out of the office and have fun and I can totally respect that about him. I had a lot in common with Libby, and I loved how focused she was and that even with a truckload of hurt in her past she found success.
The only things that upset me, it’s far shorter than I would have liked, I felt like there was so much more to this story that we just don’t know both before the end and after. All I’m hoping is that there will be a sequel…please? Pretty, pretty, please?!
I have to thank J.C. Harroway and Mills & Boon for the ARC so that I could read and provide my honest opinion.
OMG, I am so super excited for this blog tour guys, you have no idea! I have not one but two favourite authors involved today because they decided to join forces and write a series of books together! And let me tell you they are so flippin’ good! Elements of Mischief is book one in the Hijinks Harem series and I reviewed it a little while back…but don’t worry I’ve reposted my review below for you!
I also have a great guest post for you from the ladies, as this series is a themed reverse harem about supernatural plumbers…yes let your imaginations run wild! I asked them what their top 10 themed reverse harem series/novels were and they’ve come back with some beauties and given me a few newbies to add to my already creaking TBR.
Thanks to Xpresso Book Tours for having me take part, follow the link to check out the other awesome blogs on the tour, and don’t forget the giveaway at the end of the post as well, I highly recommend entering and trying to win yourself a copy…in fact skip winning just buy yourself a copy, the links are at the end of the post, I promise satisfaction!
Four hunky, supernatural plumbers.
One reluctant, slightly drunk human.
A match made in heaven…or in the bathroom, rather.
My name is Arizona Smoke, and I’m the proud owner of a house haunted by my dead Gram, best friend to a cocktail dress loving werewolf, and apparent soul mate to four plumbers who also happen to be elemental dragons. Besides rippling pectorals, tattoos, and…uh, nice, long pipes, the guys also have control of the elements.
Supernatural law (whoever heard of such a thing anyway?) dictates that since I stumbled upon the guys in their alternate forms, I have to marry them. All four of them. Oh, and apparently one lousy (okay, awesome) night of sex means that I’m an elemental, too—and no amount of magical penicillin can cure this disease.
All I wanted was hot running water and toilets that flushed, but now I’m dealing with monsters lurking in the sewers, supernatural politics, and four penniless (but totally hot) plumbers living in my crumbling old Victorian.
I’m Ari Smoke, wine aficionado, ex-barista, and a girl who is completely out of her element.
Having four hot husbands is nice…but the death threats, not so much.
This review was originally posted here on 19 October 2017.
This is not a book that takes itself seriously at all, that being said even with plumber puns and plenty of laughter throughout this book is hot, like sizzling hot.
Arizona has inherited a pretty run down mansion of a house from her Grandmother, calling in the plumbers, as you do in these situations, so that she can take a shower at least, she ends up in quite the pickle when the four hot guys who turn up at her door turn out to be elementals and she ends up in a bind, quite literally a marital bind with all four of them.
Arizona resists so hard while being completely drawn into the whole situation, I love this about her character, she’s very strong and her reaction is so natural and believable. The men, oh the men, I really did find them hot as, piercings, tattoos, turn into dragons, definitely my kind of men!
God, I love the way Stunich thinks I really do! This is my first experience with Tate James but as she evidently thinks just like Stunich I will be diving into her back catalogue shortly I promise you! I have such a thing for these reverse-harem books they are so much fun and seriously hot stuff, they really make the reading experience so much more interesting than a one on one story.
So, overall, a humorous, hot and sexy book with a great paranormal twist. Can’t wait for part two!
About Tate James
Tate James was born and raised in the Land of the Long White Cloud (New Zealand) but now lives in Australia with her husband, baby and furbaby.
She is a lover of books, red wine, cats and coffee and is not a morning person. She is a bit too sarcastic and swears too much for polite society and definitely tells too many dirty jokes.
C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn’t mind – especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.
She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she’s not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She’s the author of over thirty novels – romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There’s a heck of a lot to do there.
Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She’s already looking forward to it.
Hey Guys, I am so pleased to welcome you to the final day of the Air Guitar and Caviar blog tour. My review is below and there is also a cover teaser for Jackie’s next novel, the full cover reveal is tomorrow so don’t miss it! You will also find a fab giveaway that you won’t want to miss out on.
Busker Dylan spends his days pulling pints in the local pub and singing on the high street, waiting for fame to call. That suits him fine, until beautiful, but frosty, air stewardess, Scarlett, tosses some coins into his hat but ignores his killer smile and his offer of pizza.
He sets out to get the girl, but Scarlett isn’t in the right frame of mind to date anyone, let alone a penniless, if charming, busker boy.
Dylan’s desperate for his big break, but will it bring him the happiness he longs for? And with Scarlett’s past threatening to ruin her future, will Dylan be left to make sweet music all on his own?
The premise for this book was totally up my street, a busker see’s the woman of his dreams and pursues her with dogged enthusiasm. But she is disinterested due to a history involved with musicians.
The overall story arc was one I thoroughly enjoyed and with different characters playing the parts I think this would easily have been a five star read for me. Unfortunately I struggled with the characters themselves which hampered my enjoyment of the book a little.
Scarlett our leading lady was just plain unlikeable. She had issues and understandable issues but she came across as cold and quite cruel at times. I didn’t warm to her at any point in the book, nothing about the way she spoke, held herself or responded to Dylan at any time made me think she worthy of the attention he was giving her.
Then Dylan, he was such a contradiction, I found him really hard work. I liked him, I really liked him, a lot. But I felt like I didn’t know him, actually, he didn’t know himself too well. He was super confident one minute then a quiverin anxious mess the next. He would be full of confident lines with Scarlett then really unsure of himself. There was a real lack of consistency within his personality and I found it really confusing…and I know, yes, real people are like that. But for the purposes of reading it’s super hard to nail down a personality in a book when they are bouncing around like that.
So, overall…I enjoyed this book, it was a quick, fun, read but I didn’t gel with the characters the way I would want to with a quick, fun, romance and that did take away from my overall enjoyment.
Sending a huge thanks to Jackie Ladbury, Fabrian Books, and Rachel’s Random Resources for the eARC so that I could read and honestly review this novel.
About Jackie Ladbury
Jackie Ladbury was desperate to become a journalist when she left school but was ousted within minutes on the day of the exam at her local rag because she’d forgotten to bring a pen.
Short and sharp lesson learned.
Her budding writing career was not on hold for long, though, as Jackie found herself scribbling love stories of pilots and ‘hosties’ while she flew in aeroplanes of various shapes and sizes as a flight attendant herself.
Fast forward a good few years and, after being short-listed in a couple of prestigious romantic writing competitions, Jackie decided it was time to discard her stilettos, say goodbye to the skies and concentrate on writing romantic novels, where the only given is a guaranteed ‘happy ever after.’
