Week in Review – 13 May 2018

I’ve been so busy this week finishing things off and getting my emotions on top of the fact that I bought my book cover and set the publication date for my first book…yep no more talking randomly this shit is going down! August 17 is the date! More information to follow.

I’ve been helping my author friend Nikki Rose with a blog tour for her debut release Crossing the Line in July…can I just say respect to people like Jenny who organise blog tours for a living because this is stressful and no I’m not starting this as a business it’s a favour for a friend only!! Anyway, I have five slots left near the end of this tour so if you would like to take part please let me know!

Finally, next week I have a couple of things going on but otherwise, it will be super quiet around here while I head to London and live the high life with the rather awesome James Cudney for three days! I may be just a bit excited about this. We’ve been planning this trip for months and now it is here I can barely contain myself. He really has no idea what he’s let himself in for! Check out my review of his latest book below…it’s super good!

Otherwise I will see you next week. Peace out!

I'm BrizzleLass, I am a bookworm and my book blog BrizzleLass Books is where I share my love of books by writing reviews, sharing guest posts from authors, interviews and even the odd bookish giveaway! I have Bipolar and have been dealing with mental illness in one form or another since childhood, I was first diagnosed with depression at nine. It's not easy speaking out about my experiences, some of them are extremely painful, but if I can help even one person then I have succeeded in sharing my story. My personal blog BrizzleLass.co.uk is where I talk about my mental health among other things that interest me.

  1. Hello from NY for the last time for a while… yep, I’m in for it, huh? 3 days of running around London. I am looking forward to it, too. I’m also super excited for all your work on the site and your books this week. It’s a banner week and we must celebrate, as in about 48 hours, we’ll be on the same street together!

    1. Aw Shalini thank you so much for those wonderful words. I am so busy right now I worry my head might fall off and then I worry people will hate the book so those words mean so much.

      1. You have done your part, now it is left to people. Just send out positive vibes, do your best to promote, and let it go. These vibes will come back to you. So work hard to do what is needed. Rest is not in your hands. So take care of the head first. Prioritize and enjoy that you are getting your written word out

      2. Don’t be. Fear actually fears your determination and strength. I have seen you over the months growing from strength to strength. You inspired me not to give up when life is difficult. You are strength personified. Just take a deep breath, let go of the tightness and enjoy.
