A Gift Review: Rosie Lea Tea: Tea Potions – Harry Potter Inspired Tea – Magical Tea Gift @RosieLeaTeaUK
It’s nice to break away and pop something on the blog a little different from time to time. As you all know I’m in a bit of a reading slump at the moment, once my meds are reduced it should start to improve though. I’m just too out of it to concentrate for long at the moment.
My best friend, unable to spend time with me sent me a gift and I had to share it with you all because it was just so perfect. We always say to each other we wish we could just sit down and have a cup of tea and watch Harry Potter together (we are simple beings), but with me, in the UK and her in the US, it is slightly difficult, so we send gifts when we can.
So you can imagine how happy I was when I received this package.
I will admit to seeing I had something from Meredith and knowing I would definitely love whatever was in there. She has never disappointed me. Then when I reached the hemp bag and saw that there was tea inside, joy! Anybody who knows me knows that I don’t just enjoy tea, I’m a big tea snob. I don’t drink any caffeine I haven’t for 13 years now, so I avoid black tea completely, and I like tea to be of a high quality and I will spend a lot of money on it, none of that Twining’s rubbish for me thank you!
When I opened up the back I almost squealed with joy, four test tubes each filled with loose tea, a pack of tea bags for making the tea, and a tea menu to explain what the teas contained. And all of it was Harry Potter themed. I mean, COOL! So here is what I had by way of tea:
- Dragon’s Blood – A riot of fruity flavours in each and every cup. A wonderful mix of real berries, flowers and fruits.
- Felix Felicis – A sweet tea for wizardry fans! A delicious sweet brew of premium black tea, vanilla, liquorice and heather for good luck.
- Phoenix Tears – A wonderful infusion of South African Rooibos and sweet caramel.
- Wolfsbane – A bright blend of wonderful high-grade sencha enhanced by the saltiness from sea buckthorn and the blue cornflower.
I started with the Dragon’s Blood blend, of course, and it was delicious lots of fruity flavours. Fruit teas are among my favourites along with Rooibos based blends. So I knew I had to definite winners in this set. Both the Dragon’s Blood and Phoenix Tears are now almost run out and I’m very tempted to order more of both as they were delicious. I need to try the Wolfsbane and Hubs is drinking the Felix Felicis as it’s a black tea and I have a bit of an aversion to Liquorice in drinks while he loves it (it’s just weird…weird I tell you).
This was such a wonderful gift to receive and I have been thoroughly enjoying having some new high quality blends. As I said I am pretty sure i will be ordering some more of the two I enjoyed the most. So a huge thank you to my friend Meredith for the gift and to Rosie Lea Tea for making such a wonderful gift pack. I’ve left all their links below in case you are interested.
