Hello Everyone, thanks so much for joining me on the Reality Blurred blog tour hosted by Star-Crossed Tours. I have to apologise to both Aven Ellis and Emma from Star-Crossed Tours as I’m super late posting today, all these issues with my Bipolar have set me back somewhat with the blog and I have only just gotten around to writing this so this post goes out with big hugs and apologies.
He lied to her. Fed her the same lines as he did all the other girls. Instead of proposing, he dumped her on national TV. Would a romance with a hockey superstar prove just as disastrous—or could it be the greatest love story of her life?
Cast as America’s reality show sweetheart after being jilted on a dating show, Skye Reeve is ready to stop being a brokenhearted woman by proving she’s more than what the camera portrayed her to be. She’s landed her dream job as a TV lifestyle reporter and promises to work hard to be a success.
Skye also vows never to be swept up in a fairy tale romance ever again, as she obviously has no clue what real love is.
Being in the same city as Denver Mountain Lions hockey star Maxime Laurent, however, might make this last goal impossible.
Dealing with ghosts from his own past, the Belgian hockey star is known for keeping his life off the ice private. He’s not sure if outgoing Skye could be a match for him, but he can’t deny his attraction to her.
When the two embark on a romance, will they be able to move forward from the past to let love into their hearts? With no reality blurred, will Skye find real-life love to be what she had been looking for all along?
I think like many of Aven Ellis’ readers I’ve been waiting for this story since book one in the Rinkside in the Rockies series. I knew it was going to be a beautiful romance, well they always are with Ms Ellis. But this defied all expectation.
Skye an ex-contestant on a The Bachelor-style show is living a life of regret, trying to make the most of what she knows was a bad decision. She is stalked by people and their mobile phone cameras and is the talk of the papers every time she so much as sneezes.
Enter shy hockey player Maxime, the Belgian who we saw her meet in book one. The two of them start dating in this book and we get to follow their progress and how they both deal with Maxime’s aversion to the limelight and Skye’s life thrust in the limelight.
Together they are adorable, sweet and just a pleasure to watch grow, apart Skye’s anxiety reaches record levels worrying herself if she is doing the right thing by Maxime by staying with him.
Aven Ellis always writes extraordinarily beautiful stories of love, that have an HEA. You know what you are getting when you curl up with one of her books and she never disappoints.
Thank you again, to Aven Ellis and Emma at Star-Crossed Tours for the eARC so that I could read and honestly review this book.
About Aven Ellis
I live in the Dallas area with my family. I enjoy clipping out recipes I will never get around to trying, working out, and chatting with friends on social media. I’m a hockey nut (Go Stars!) and watch as much as humanly possible. I also love shopping and fashion and admit to being obsessed with whatever the Duchess of Cambridge is wearing. In addition to be obsessed with the Duchess, I’m equally obsessed with any show or cookbook featuring Gordon Ramsay.
