Silver Moon - Nikki Landis

#Review: Silver Moon by Nikki Landis @landisnikkiauth

What if your fate was already decided?

I have a dark secret.
Locked in a past I can’t escape, I race against the clock to save the one woman who completes me.
My mate.
She doesn’t know it yet, but I’m the alpha from her dreams.
I have to tell her, claim her, and make her mine…
but sinister forces and a single act of vengeance threatens to tear apart any chance we have.
Do I risk the future for one chance to make everything right?

What if your soul was bound to another without your knowledge?

Liam is always too close.
Watching from a distance, claiming to be my friend, I don’t trust the feelings of warmth and desire when he’s near.
I’ve had my heart broken before…
but now he’s inched his way into my affection and I can’t deny the promise of passion I see in his eyes.
Something about him draws me in.
Dare I take a chance and risk everything even if it means I could lose it all?

Liam has known her whole life that Nara is meant for him. All he’s had to do is wait for her to come around and see him for what he is, her soul mate. Seems simple until you’ve waited decades and watched her almost marry another man.

When Nara gives into her feelings for Liam everything falls into place but this is only the beginning of their story because there are secrets Liam has been keeping, secrets which could not only destroy their happiness but are life-threatening.

As we see the couple navigate the dangers that are coming for them we see them also navigate their relationship and try to overcome the lies plaguing them.

I loved that this wasn’t the usual, boy meets girl will they won’t they romance. This was a more rooted relationship romance dealing with issues that were far more real and deep-seated than an initial get together. I really enjoyed seeing this couple navigate their marriage and how to get over fundamental problems within that marriage to stay as one.

As for the external paranormal issues which put additional pressure on their marriage it was well written. This links into other series which Nikki Landis has written, as someone who is a little behind with this series it didn’t hinder my enjoyment at all so I say feel free to jump in and enjoy this at any point.

I really loved Nara and Liam as characters they were thoroughly lovable, strong, and their love for each other is so attractive. I also loved Liam’s Beta and Best Friend Griffin, I had a real soft spot for him and would love to see him the focus of a future book. Nara also had ten brothers so my heart is already palpitating at all the possibilities for those guys!

As a fan of shifter romance, I lapped this one up and am so excited at all the possibilities to come with this series.

Thanks to Nikki Landis for gifting me this book so that I could read it and provide my honest review.

I'm BrizzleLass, I have Bipolar and have been dealing with mental illness in one form or another since childhood, I was first diagnosed with depression at nine. It's not easy speaking out about my experiences, some of them are extremely painful, but if I can help even one person then I have succeeded in sharing my story. This is where I talk about my mental health among other things that interest me. I enjoy walking, PlayStation, reading, heavy metal, and spending time with my Niece.
