The Bloggers Bookshelf – Nia from The Most Sublime @Most_Sublime

Hi Guys, welcome back to The Bookshelf. Each week I feature an author or book blogger and talk about their bookshelf with them. It’s a light-hearted, book focused, Q&A.

This week I have one of my new blogger friends Nia from over at The Most Sublime. In addition to being a committed book blogger she very recently got married, at Gretna Green no less! Be sure to go say Hi to her!

What was the first book you remember having on your bookshelf?
That would be ‘Leo the Lop‘ by Stephen Cosgrove – the lop eared bunny who didn’t like being different when all the bunnies around him had pointy ears.

What was the most recent book you added to the bookshelf?
Most of my books are on my kindle so I’m going with my virtual bookshelf here – the latest book is Slashvivor! By Stephen Kozeniewski and Stevie Kopas. It’s fantastic!

Which book have you most recently read from your bookshelf?
That would be Slashvivor! (there really is an exclamation mark in the title, it’s not just me being hyper-enthusiastic about it). It’s a brilliant mix of The Hunger Games, Mad Max and Suicide Squad… you have to read it to believe it.

Which 5 books from last year would you not let go of from your bookshelf?
1) Yonder: A Southern Haunting by LeeAnne Hansen
2) The Hematophages by Stephen Kozeniewski
3) The Dark Sins series by Eve Silver (let’s pretend I bought an omnibus)
4) Blackwing by Ed McDonald
5) Watching You by J.A. Schneider

Which books are you most looking forward to adding to your bookshelf?
The rest of the Southern Haunting series, as soon as they’ve been written! I’m also quietly hoping that The Book of Dust by Phillip Pullman will find its way to me for Christmas.

Which genre is most predominant on your bookshelf?
I reckon horror and fantasy dominate my bookshelves and kindle

Which genre do you wish you had more of on your bookshelf?
I wish I had more non-fiction science books, I’m finally starting off a collection but I ever seem to have enough!

If your bookshelf could talk what would it say?
Save me. She doesn’t know when to stop.

What colour do you see more of when you look at your bookshelf?
That’s a good question…. there’s a lot of black spines there!

Can you share a picture of your bookshelf / favourite bookshelf?

I'm BrizzleLass, I am a bookworm and my book blog BrizzleLass Books is where I share my love of books by writing reviews, sharing guest posts from authors, interviews and even the odd bookish giveaway! I have Bipolar and have been dealing with mental illness in one form or another since childhood, I was first diagnosed with depression at nine. It's not easy speaking out about my experiences, some of them are extremely painful, but if I can help even one person then I have succeeded in sharing my story. My personal blog is where I talk about my mental health among other things that interest me.
