Music Monday: Broken by Seether feat Amy Lee

This is a weekly meme I’ve picked up from Drew at The Tattooed Book Geek. It’s very simple, you pick a song on a Monday and share it! Never one to turn away from the chance to share my exquisite taste in music I’m loving taking part in this every week, so thanks Drew!

This popped up in my recommended videos on YouTube and I just knew I had to share it this week. It’s a great song, great voices, great lyrics. Just awesome. Enjoy!

I wanted you to know I love the way you laugh
I want to hold you high and steal your pain away
I keep your photograph, and I know it serves me well
I want to hold you high and steal your pain
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel right when you’ve gone away
You’ve gone away
You don’t feel me here anymore
The worst is over now and we can breathe again
I want to hold you high, and steal my pain away
There’s so much left to learn, and no one left to fight
I want to hold you high and steal your pain
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m open
And I don’t feel like I am strong enough
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel right when you’re gone away
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m open
And I don’t feel like I am strong enough
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel right when you’re gone away
‘Cause I’m broken when I’m lonesome
And I don’t feel right when you’re gone away
You’ve gone away
You don’t feel me here anymore

  1. Love this song… I don’t listen to it too often though because it tends to put me in a sad mood… I fight sad moods with something energetic 🙂 otherwise I’ll put myself into a right pit! 😀

    Great-great choice though!
