A second chance by the sea?

When Kiki Jackson’s marriage falls to pieces, there’s only one place that she knows she can escape to – her sister’s little guesthouse in Butterfly Cove.

But she’s worried that turning up on bride-to-be Mia’s doorstep, especially with her two adorable children in tow, will spoil her sister’s imminent wedding plans!

Luckily, handsome neighbour Aaron Spenser offers to share his new cottage with Kiki until she’s back on her feet. And as the wedding draws closer, Kiki realises that Butterfly Cove may be offering her little family more than just a new home…

Maybe this is where her new life begins…?

An uplifting and heartwarming read, perfect for fans of Trisha Ashley, Rachael Lucas and Hilary Boyd

Kiki is tied up in a marriage that deep down she knows isn’t working, her Husband is cruel and neglectful but when she finds emails that reveal he is cheating it gives her what she needs to take her children and leave him. Filing for divorce and starting a new life with her sister in Butterfly Cove.

When it turns out her sisters guest house is full, kind and handsome neighbour Aaron offers her room in his cottage. Taking her and the children under his wing in the process and helping them and himself heal from a host of wounds.

Sarah Bennett has created a beautiful story here of emotional turmoil and moving on from it. Of life after the pain of a bad marriage, of the pain someone can cause you deep inside. She’s written a story about finding happiness even when you think it’s not possible.

Aaron is such a well-rounded and lovely character, he has a difficult journey to go through and yet he does it with dignity and comes out the other side with his head held high. I loved his commitment to this small family he takes in from day one. How having two young children running around his house didn’t phase him in the slightest (it would have freaked me out!) He was a wonderful character.

Kiki, really finds her feet during the book, she starts so timid, like a mouse and grows into this strong beautiful woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid of grasping for it whatever the cost and I loved that about her.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it had so many wonderful messages in it and was the perfect feel-good read for the summer.

Sending a huge thanks to Sarah Bennett, HQ Digital and Neverland Blog Tours for the eARC so that I could read and honestly review this novel.

About Sarah Bennett

Sarah Bennett has been reading for as long as she can remember. Raised in a family of bookworms, her love affair with books of all genres has culminated in the ultimate Happy Ever After – getting to write her own stories to share with others.

Born and raised in a military family, she is happily married to her own Officer (who is sometimes even A Gentleman). Home is wherever he lays his hat, and life has taught them both that the best family is the one you create from friends as well as relatives.

When not reading or writing, Sarah is a devotee of afternoon naps and sailing the high seas, but only on vessels large enough to accommodate a casino and a choice of restaurants.
