Ethan's Daughter - Rachel Brimble

Ethan’s first priority is to protect his daughter. His second priority is to keep Leah out of this dark web—and that means out of his bed. Review

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the Templeton Cove series, even though I came to it mid-way through and so I was over the moon to receive an early copy of the seventh book in the series Ethan’s Daughter from Rachel Brimble. This was a little different to the other books in the series I have read taking it far more along the romantic suspense lines. I will admit to not being someone who generally picks books up that wander in this direction but I was drawn in from the very first chapter and had no hope of pulling away until the story was resolved.

Leah Dixon, who we have met a few times in previous Templeton Cove novels as the friendly local A&E nurse, finds a little girl on the beach and when she returns her home she finds she is the daughter of the towns famous reclusive author Ethan James, but Ethan is injured and Leah, not being one to let something go gets herself entangled in his messy past and life.

This is everything we have come to expect from Rachel Brimble, and more, she has somehow managed to wind down the romance while winding up the romantic tension it’s incredible. The suspense is palpable and you never quite know where the danger is coming from or who it is targeted to. And for the first time with one of her novels I truly doubted if the couple would become a couple.

Oh and I loved the mention’s of Bristol, I always get a bit chuffed when Bristol is mentioned in a book!

A beautiful read and a fine edition to the Templeton Cove Family.

A huge thanks to Rachel Brimble for sending me the eARC so that I could read and honestly review this book.
