Week in Review – 18 June 2017

It’s been a fairly quiet week this week recovering from my surgery and slowly getting back onto my feet. It’s given me plenty of reading time though so I’m pleased with that!

There are still a couple of days left to vote in the TBR Topple poll if you haven’t already. This will determine which book from my TBR I have to read this month! The new poll will start the beginning of July.

So, onto my bookish update this week…

What I’ve Read

I’m very pleased as one of these is one I’ve had on my TBR for almost a decade! It finally got taken from the shelf and I read it really quickly…just goes to show what taking that leap can do!

Next Week on BrizzleLass Books

Published by

I'm BrizzleLass, I have Bipolar and have been dealing with mental illness in one form or another since childhood, I was first diagnosed with depression at nine. It's not easy speaking out about my experiences, some of them are extremely painful, but if I can help even one person then I have succeeded in sharing my story. This is where I talk about my mental health among other things that interest me. I enjoy walking, PlayStation, reading, heavy metal, and spending time with my Niece.

  1. I hope your recovery continues to go well, it’s always a good feeling when you start getting back on your feet again. I’ve been kicking myself this year as I’ve made an effort to read some of the books that have been on my shelves for years and most of them I’ve really enjoyed so wish I’d picked them up sooner. It’s annoying how books become almost invisible to us once they’ve been on our shelves for a certain amount of time. I’m glad you enjoyed the book you read this week that you’ve had for years. Hope you have some more good books to read over the next week or so while you rest and recover.

    1. It is crazy isn’t it how we have books for years and they just disappear from our awareness! We obviously bought them for a reason! Like you I’m trying to hit the TBR hard this year.
