PART FOUR of a serialised novel – a heartwarming and inspiring story about living the simple life and the joy of animals.
The last few months have been hard for Sam. Her dream to work as a vet is slowly becoming reality, and she is beginning to encounter the struggles and heartbreaks that someone in a job like this must face.
But what’s more heartwarming and inspiring than a litter of new piglets? On a call to a farm with Joe, Sam can’t help but feel a sense of renewal in her own life as she witnesses one of the most glorious and natural processes of all.
Sam’s thoughts inevitably turn to her own child – will she be able to cope when the baby is born? And with her love life so shaky, will a fatherless child turn out all right?
Note: this is part four of a four-part serialised novel. The full length paperback will be available in June.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this novella series and this final part was the icing on the proverbial cake.
We finally see things come together for Sam, after settling into her life in Hope Green it’s time for her to give birth and things finally become crystal clear as to why Joe has been so moody with her. While I had worked out his reasons back in part two (I have great psychic powers don’t you know?!), all the anticipation since then and now getting confirmation was fantastic and well worth waiting for.
We also found out why her friend who was Queen Bitch in the last part acted the way she did and why other things linked to her happened the way they did. I’m not sure I would have been as forgiving as Sam but Sam is a far better person than I am!
As this is the final part lots of things are clarified and loose ends tied up for Sam and I had plenty of giggles and tears in this book even as things were being tied up and Sam’s story being brought to a close. I couldn’t help but laugh at her Nana everytime she says “What do I know, I’m just you’re Nana” she was such a hoot!
I can’t recommend this highly enough, and if you’re reading this in June after the full novel is released I highly recommend picking the full book up!
A huge thanks to Sheila Norton and Ebury Digital for the eARC in return for my honest review.
