Review:
I may have released a squeal of excitement at discovering that Jill Shalvis was releasing a new series, Sweet Little Lies is the first book in this series known as Heartbreaker Bay, set in San Francisco we are introduced to a new group of friends and their delicate love lives.

In this first novel we meet Pru, a woman who has dedicated her life to righting the wrongs of her parents. One of the people wronged is Finn who she is determined to help find love and happiness. What she doesn’t count on is falling for him herself.

As with all of Jill Shalvis’ books there is no beating about the bush, it is clear from the very beginning that the two people at the centre of the story are meant to be together it is just a case of helping them along the road and overcoming their obstacles.

This novel is well written, has realistic and relatable characters, they are flawed like a normal person, funny, and wiling to take risks for happiness.  Jill Shalvis has again created two characters perfectly moulded for each other, right from the first pages the attraction between them is palpable.

The supporting characters in this novel are wonderful and I’m sure we will see more of them through the Heartbreaker Bay series.

A huge thanks to Jill Shalvis and Headline Eternal for the ARC via BookBridgr so that I could read and honestly review this book.
