Book Blurb:
People from all walks of life have come together to share their experiences of depression and recovery.

Depression is a gritty topic and so you can expect raw honesty from this eBook. There’s been no holding back, the experiences are at times painful to read and it feels right to include a trigger warning here – the contents do include several mentions of suicide, the act of self-harm and abuse. Please do not read if you feel that in doing so, it will do more harm to you than good.

My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

My Review:
Before I start to review I have to confess myself as one of the contributors. That said this book still held a lot of interest for me as many of the other writers had compelling and interesting stories to tell about their own unique experiences with depression.

What strikes me most about this book is that it proves depression is not a one edged sword, more of a multi-faceted rock and each of us have a different experience with different mental illnesses which coincide with the depression as well as life experiences. I never met any of the other contributors to the book, other than what they have written here, I know nothing more about them than any other reader of the book, but I am proud of each and every one of them for their bravery and willingness to speak out about some awful experiences and the effects they have on this illness.

I feel it is also worth saying that every single person involved in this project did so as a volunteer, we weren’t professional writers, editors, designers etc but wanted to help The Blurt Foundation, which is a charity dedicated to helping people who suffer with depression. This book tells many stories in many ways and the funding helps ensure other people get the support they need.

Any affiliate earnings I receive as a result of you purchasing this book from the links above, I will donate to The Blurt Foundation.
